I really like dzil in some ways, and in other ways I hate it. I want to discuss the benefits and the downsides of using Dist::Zilla and ways to mitigate it.

I'll go into typical dzil usage as well as show how why the good old Makefile.PL approach does not stink so hard as I thought it did.
